You could be developing new features for our website, negotiating contracts with our online travel agents, planning and implementing social media campaigns or getting out in the network on video shoots. What you could be doing
Digital product
Our in-house product team delivers digital transformation for YHA and its users. The team is responsible for understanding customer needs, developing new features and bringing them to our users. Besides choosing what to build, they communicate the benefits and measure the performance of our products.
These roles cover an extensive range of responsibilities – you’ll create new digital experiences, conduct user research and work closely with our in-house developers to deliver and test new functionality. The team use Agile ways of working to prioritise what needs to be done next and direct YHA’s long-term vision for its digital products.
Digital marketing
No two days are the same for our digital marketing team – from producing large-scale social media campaigns or managing SEO to writing inspiring blog articles for LiveMoreYHA or working with influencers to reach new audiences.
This team works hard to ensure new and existing customers can find and engage with YHA online, also working closely with our external PPC and Affiliate agencies to create strong paid campaigns to drive traffic. You’ll balance budget management with creative flair so the ability to manage multiple projects is a must. Every day is different and that’s what makes it exciting!
Online sales (e-commerce)
Our online sales (e-commerce) team work closely with trading and operations colleagues to manage the products we sell online. This includes overseeing product listings, reporting on sales through our digital channels, assessing ways to increase revenue and encouraging as many customers to book direct as possible.
This team works extensively with online travel agents and other third-party websites. They review contracts and opportunities to ensure that YHA has the best possible deals to boost our online sales performance. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining and updating content on websites such as Booking.com, Hostelling International and more.
