Do you have a passion for technology?

IT and business systems are crucial for all areas of business within YHA. They work closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that our services and solutions meet their needs, also managing our IT infrastructure and user support delivered through the service desk.

You could be responsible for:

  • Maintenance, support and development of our websites
  • Data security and compliance – cyber security, data protection and compliance with regulations and standards (such as PCI DSS)
  • Business transformation – development of business plans which support YHA’s strategy
  • Providing programme governance
  • Project and change management support for our teams
  • The development and delivery of YHA’s IT and digital transformation
  • Risk management including overseeing YHA’s organisational risk management processes, policies and governance

What you could be doing

Business systems

This team provide user and project support, configuration and development of YHA systems. This includes developing, supporting, managing and maintaining many of YHA’s key systems and data integrations.

Resource is highly sought after so the business systems manager helps the team by planning required work as far in advance as possible. This involves talking to the team about what work is required, clarifying requirements with stakeholders and helping to remove any obstacles to getting the job done. We take wellbeing seriously, offering regular 121 meetings and making sure everyone knows they are appreciated.

IT infrastructure

The IT infrastructure team are responsible for providing, managing, maintaining and supporting YHA’s ICT technology, including all computer hardware and software for servers, desktop computers and laptops, as well as the network infrastructure to allow communication within YHA and with the outside world.

We aim to provide technology which enables our teams to provide the best possible service to our customers, and to keep YHA’s data safe and secure. Much of the work of the team goes on behind the scenes to ensure that systems are available, reliable, secure and efficient.
