Volunteer Group Activity Leaders

YHA Volunteer Group Activity Leaders

Volunteer Group Activity Leaders help others to get the most out of their volunteering experience.  You don’t need any technical skills to be a Volunteer Group Activity Leader, it’s all about having great people skills, being organised and a great communicator!  Your role will involve supervising and supporting volunteers of all ages from a range of different backgrounds – as well as having lots of fun whilst doing so!

As a Group Activity Leader you will be able to get involved with all the Volunteer Events and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold Residential. You’ll pick from the available events and you can also choose where you go and how you give your time making this opportunity extremely flexible.

You can then volunteer on your doorstep or decide to travel further afield, for a day or a week or even a month, there is so much to choose from!

To apply for this role you should be:

  • aged 18 or over
  • willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
  • able to provide the contact details of two people we can approach for references

All successful applicants will be asked to attend a one day training course.  These are to be held as follows:

Saturday 1 July YHA Cardiff

Tuesday 17 October YHA National Forest

You can find out more in our Group Activity Leader 2017 guide.
