YHA York, 42 Water End, Clifton, York, North Yorkshire, YO30 6LP
Permanent, flexible contract
Minimum 15 hours per week

YHA York is looking for Night Team Member to join our dynamic hostel team. In this role you will help shape the experience for guests and the team alike. With normal working hours on shifts between 6pm-3am and 10pm-7am, you will be part of a great team who work to ensure the safety and security of our site, offer amazing customer service at our reception and bar, learn end and beginning of day banking processes and maintain excellent standards. One minute you might be welcoming guests to our warm and bustling hostel, the next preparing a late night pizza, performing security walks, serving a beer, solving a problem, or making sure standards are spot on. No two days are the same — and that’s exactly the point!
You will deliver excellent customer care to ensure all customers have a positive experience, seeking opportunities to improve our guest experience wherever possible. You’ll support the security of the hostel overnight, ensuring the safety of all customers and overnight guests and that noise and disruption within the hostel and grounds is kept to a minimum, whilst working with lovely people and helping our guests make memories!
Situated on the leafy bank of the River Ouse, YHA York is a stone’s throw away from York’s quirky and historic city centre to one side and the gorgeous North Yorkshire countryside on the other. York is the perfect place for history, art and nature lovers alike.
