YHA operates hostels all over England and Wales, providing inclusive adventures for the first time and for a lifetime. Our main objective is to enrich the lives of all with real adventure, but especially young people of limited means.
Our fundraising team are responsible for raising vital money for YHA through a variety of appeals and charitable events. This could be from encouraging individuals to make a personal donation, donate to an appeal, organise an event, take part in a challenge event or leave a gift to YHA in their will.
We also cover charitable trusts and foundations to support a specific project, such as the Breaks programme or companies who want to support YHA through their corporate social responsibility scheme such as Charity of the Year. The team uses stewardship to build long-term relationships with our supporters and key stakeholders.
What you could be doing
Fundraising team
- Creating new appeals or supporting existing ones.
- Encouraging people to fundraise for YHA through different channels and helping to come up with new ideas on how to fundraise.
- Managing projects such as our raffle or lottery.
- Working with supporters to fundraise through challenge events.
- Raise awareness of the charitable work we do to new supporters and helping to maintain the supporters we currently have.
